The Federal Council has set the BVG minimum interest rate from 1.00% to 1.25%. In addition, the AHV allowance of CHF 16,800 per year or CHF 1,400 per month can be waived as of January 1, 2024. People who have reached the reference age and remain in gainful employment now have the right to choose whether or not to apply the allowance. Among other things, this allows gaps in contributions to be filled.
There were no changes to all other contributions and benefits.
